Its been quite a while since I posted anything. Quite a bit has happened over the past few months. One of the most important developments has been a library developed for using the PicoLCD devices. The library will be released under LGPL. It just needs a bit of tidying up but I'll release it soon. If you want to test it in its present state, drop me a message, I'll gladly send you a copy. I'm writing this library is because no LGPL code exists for using the picolcd devices. LCDProc is GPL'd and you can't use the LCDs in your application via LCDProc anyway. I also have written a RC5 decoding function (also LGPL) which works very well with the 20x4 LCD. I almost have it working with the 20x2, just a few more tweaks are required. I'm using a widely available Philips remote but any Philips remote should work. Along with the picoLcd stuff I'll also be releasing code to parse configuration files. its pretty simple. I could put it on the website now but I don't have the documentation ready for right now. Need to have that before post the code for you guys to use. For some reason there is no simple config parsing library/code I could find. Everyone seems to be writing their own code to parse their configuration files. Talk about re-inventing the wheel!! |

Work has been smooth. Information about the products will be available soon. Meanwhile there is an idea we have been experimenting with. Its a technique to which will involuntarily trigger you eyes to blink. The software is at a 'works on my computer' stage. If the idea works, it will be posted in the opensource section. The opensource section has been updated. A utility called 'Checkey' is now available for download. The source code is available under GPL. Please try it out and give us your feedback.
